Whisper Rock Golf Club is providing its members with a pure golf environment. It is not a country club in the traditional sense. Rather, it is a private members facility focused solely on creating a golf club lifestyle experience.
The Lower Course, designed by PGA Tour player Phil Mickelson and architect Gary Stephenson, opened on March 1st, 2001. The Upper Course, designed by Tom Fazio, opened on January 21st, 2005.
To provide the best possible golf environment, the Whisper Rock Golf Club, has been developed wholly seperate from the residential community. Both golf courses have been routed so that all holes are grouped together, (Core Golf), and will only be separated by ribbons of natural desert terrain.
Whisper Rock is based on an individual member per membership with limited family playing rights. Membership is on a sponsorship and invitation basis. Whisper Rock is a non-equity, right-to-use club, where members will receive 90% of the right-to-use deposit back, upon resignation from the club. Property ownership in Whisper Rock - The Estates, is not required for membership, nor does owning property in Whisper Rock create any rights to membership. Likewise, golf memberships are not transferable. The club will be run solely by its President, not by committees. The focus will be on delivering a level of consistent excellence that the members can come to expect.
Whisper Rock's membership is limited to 290 golf memberships per 18-holes of golf. This allows the focus to be on ensuring members the best possible access to their golf course while offering a large enough membership that individual members do not have to "bring their won game". Members will have first priority to the tee sheet, followed by members playing with immediate family and/or guests.

The Whisper Rock Community
Whisper Rock Estates is a private 800-acre, guard-gated community of 197 custom homes tucked neatly into the picturesque desert of north Scottsdale, Arizona.
